You'know if you bring yourself down like the way you did in the description you'll never get better. You need to believe in yourself to keep improving and getting better at the things you do. If you keep telling yourself you're doing something bad your progress will halt. All you need to do is practice all the time with pages of sketches or trying out new or different styles.
